Atletico Madrid agree deal to sign PSG’s Lee Kang-in

Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have struck an agreement for the transfer of Lee Kang-in (25), according to a report from RMC Sport.

Lee joined PSG from Valencia back in 2023 but has always been a rotation option under Luis Enrique, rather than a guaranteed starter. He has, nonetheless, played 124 times (16 goals, 16 assists). He was heavily linked with a move to Atletico Madrid last summer, however, despite his limited game time, Luis Enrique insisted on retaining the South Korea international.

The playmaker once again played a bit-part role (39 games in all competitions, 18 starts in Ligue 1, 0 starts in the UCL) as PSG wrapped up back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles. He is now expected to leave two years before the expiry of his deal with Les Parisiens.

RMC Sport understands that PSG and Atletico Madrid have agreed a fee worth just over €40m, including bonuses.
