According to TBR, Chelsea are also present in the race for Strasbourg striker Emanuel Emegha. The 22-year-old has plenty of suitors from the Premier League as the Blues could have the upper hand over the likes of Fulham, Everton and West Ham due to being part of the same ownership group as the French side.
Chelsea are set to explore the possibility of signing Emanuel Emegha in the summer, as the striker is a part of their shortlist. The Blues do face competition from some of the other Premier League clubs in the market for a new striker.
Emegha has had another successful season with Strasbourg, only this time he has already improved his tally from the last campaign. Signed in a £12 million deal in the summer of 2023 from Austrian side Strum Graz, the 22-year-old has 17 goals and assists to his name for the French side this term, with all of his goal contributions coming in Ligue 1.
Fulham are seen as a suitor, while there’s credible interest from West Ham United and Everton in the 17 G/A Ligue 1 striker. These are the sides expected to look out for a new centre-forward, and now they face stiff competition from Chelsea, who are angling to bring in a competitor for the No.9 spot.
Chelsea are interested in Emegha and could have the upper hand due to being part of the same ownership as Strasbourg. The parent company, BlueCo have already conceded the prospect of selling the striker, although Chelsea have regularly sought information on Emegha in a bid to find out if the striker suits the profile they seek.
Emegha is seen as a viable option, although they will be mindful of the asking price set by Strasbourg which remains unclear at this point. Chelsea also hold an interest in Liam Delap, as reports state they view the Ipswich Town star as one of their priorities in the summer. The issue here is the level of competition for the striker, with Manchester United currently seen as one of the front-runners.
They are also ready to sell Christopher Nkunku in the summer, with the Frenchman’s agents already sounding out to clubs over his availability. Either way, Chelsea will have the space in the squad for a new striker, as they would ideally prefer Delap, although the likes of Emegha could be seen as a viable alternative to the Ipswich Town star.
