According to TBR, Arsenal hold an interest in Mohammed Kudus, although they are unwilling to pay more than £50 million for the Ghanaian. The Hammers star, a £38 million arrival from Ajax two years ago also has Liverpool and Newcastle United among his suitors, and they too are uninterested in paying his release clause.
Mohammed Kudus has had an underwhelming season by his standards, notching only four goals and adding three assists across all competitions. Yet, he remains one of the formidable attacking talents in the Premier League, as there are quite a lot of clubs showing an interest.
West Ham are ready to sell the Ghanaian in the summer to fund new moves for the squad and stay on the right side of PSR. Kudus has an enormous £85 million release clause in his deal as per the report, and they are eager to get that price to sell him.
None of the interested clubs are eager to pay as much, with Liverpool among those keen on Kudus. The Merseysiders have been monitoring his progress and would be open to the idea of signing him as long as it’s for a reasonable price and not his release clause.
Similarly, Newcastle United are among those keen, and they too are unwilling to pay as much. Only Saidi Pro League sides, such as Al-Nassr are reportedly open to shelling out £85 million on the Ghanaian in the summer. While Kudus could be open to the idea of a switch to the Middle East, his first preference is to stay in Europe.
Arsenal are also interested in Kudus and have been monitoring him since his time with Ajax. The £38 million West Ham star has been on their radar, as Mikel Arteta likes his versatility which could entice the Gunners into making an offer in the summer to bring the attacker to the Emirates.
However, they are unwilling to pay more than £50 million for Kudus, which might not sit well with West Ham. Should the player force a move, then the Hammers might reluctantly slash his asking rate, although they are unlikely to sell him for £50 million which is significantly less than his release clause.
