Juventus could offer Douglas Luiz in deal to sign Rasmus Hojlund

Manchester United could be offered Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz as part of a potential swap deal involving Rasmus Hojlund.

According to TuttoSport via SportWitness, Juventus are keen on acquiring the services of Rasmus Hojlund and they could offer Manchester United the opportunity to sign Douglas Luiz in a swap deal. Luiz’s move to Turin hasn’t gone as planned, and Juventus are now looking to offload him while using the opportunity to land their top target.

While things didn’t work out for the Brazilian at Manchester City, he certainly made the most out of his move to Aston Villa. He managed to establish himself as a key figure in the Birmingham-based outfit and made quite a name for himself.

Villa would have loved to have him around for a few more years but they were in desperate need to raise funds, as a result, they decided to cash in on Luiz last summer. He joined Italian giants Juventus in a big-money move.

While a lot was expected from the 26-year-old, the move hasn’t worked out as he has failed to settle at his new club. The Old Lady are now ready to part ways with him and they are looking to make the most out of this situation by offering his services to Manchester United.

Juventus want a new striker, United could sell Hojlund

Juventus are all set to part ways with Dusan Vlahovic in the summer. With him leaving, they are in desperate need of signing a new striker. The Old Lady have identified Rasmus Hojlund as a priority target. The 22-year-old Danish international hasn’t had the best of times since joining United back in 2023.

But thanks to his impressive performances at Atalanta and his massive potential, Juventus want him to be the new leader of their attack. In order to make things work, they are ready to offer Luiz as part of a swap deal. While it would be a straightforward swap isn’t certain yet, they are hoping that including the Brazilian international could increase their chances of signing him.

Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim is keen on signing a proven goal scorer to lead his attack. He has his eyes set on Viktor Gyokeres. The Portuguese manager isn’t really pleased with Hojlund’s performances and won’t mind cashing in on him. But it will be interesting to see if he considers Luiz an ideal fit for his system.

The Brazilian certainly has an impressive track record in England, thanks to his work at Villa, but United might have different priorities for the summer.
