Al-Hilal prepared to offer British transfer record fee to land Bruno Fernandes

Al-Hilal are reportedly prepared to make a British record bid to sign Manchester United talisman Bruno Fernandes with huge wages on offer.

According to Give Me Sport, Al-Hilal are prepared to make a British-record offer to tempt Manchester United into selling Bruno Fernandes. The Saudi Pro League giants are also prepared to make a sensational offer on personal terms to the Portuguese international, who has had another wonderful season in England.

Bruno Fernandes has been the shining light for Manchester United despite the team underwhelming for most parts. The Portuguese playmaker has 37 goals and assists this season across all competitions, as sections have also called for him to be included in the player of the season conversations.

Fernandes reportedly makes around £375,000 per week in wages at Manchester United, where his deal lasts until 2027, with reports stating the club might have an option for another year. At 30, the Portuguese playmaker has not slowed down and rather some might argue his game has improved with time.

Manchester United view Bruno Fernandes as one of the untouchables at the club, while manager Ruben Amorim feels he is key to their plans going forward. Hence, neither the club nor the supporters will envisage a sale of the Manchester United talisman despite reports that will concern many associated with the team.

Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are interested in Fernandes and are reportedly willing to lodge a British-record offer for the Manchester United talisman. Given the financial situation at Old Trafford, a large enough offer would surely come into consideration from the board, as it will also reveal their stance on the Portuguese star and club captain.

Al-Hilal to lodge British-record bid for Bruno Fernandes

The report goes on to explain that the Saudi giants have enormous funds to bring in a marquee player, as they were previously interested in Mohamed Salah. With the Egyptian now set to stay with Liverpool, Al-Hilal now want Fernandes as an alternative. Apart from the British record fee they are prepared to lodge, the Saudi side are also ready to pay Fernandes a salary of £65 million per season.

Bruno Fernandes is reportedly committed to Manchester United, and as the report explains, he wants to stay in Europe at least until the 2026 World Cup. Despite the enormity of the offer being mentioned in the story, the chances of Al-Hilal getting their hands on the Manchester United talisman might be slim unless the player himself approves of the idea of departing Old Trafford for the cash-rich Saudis.
