Liam Delap has established himself as one of the best strikers in the Premier League since joining Ipswich Town from Manchester City last summer. While the Tractor Boys have suffered relegation from the top flight, the Englishman has been a clear standout throughout the 2024/25 campaign.
The 22-year-old has amassed 12 goals and two assists in 34 Premier League appearances thus far. Meanwhile, Delap’s exploits for Ipswich Town have not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several Premier League bigwigs. Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur are among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.
Chelsea wanted to sign Victor Osimhen last summer, before the deal failed to see the light of day. So, it is hardly surprising that Delap has emerged on the West London club’s radar. Enzo Maresca wants more competition for the centre-forward berth, with the Blues setting their sights on the English striker.
Meanwhile, Manchester United’s interest in Liam Delap is understandable. The Red Devils are keen on reinforcing their centre-forward berth in the summer transfer window amid Rasmus Hojlund’s struggles to score goals consistently.
