According to Cadena Ser, a host of Premier League sides including Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have had offers submitted for Dean Huijsen. The defender, who is expected to leave Bournemouth this summer has authorised a law firm to open negotiations with Real Madrid, which probably signals his intent to make a move to Spain.
It’s been a tremendous year for Dean Huijsen, who has proven his worth as a Premier League-ready defender as well as making his Spain bow. The Bournemouth star has been one of the breakthrough players this term, with the centre-back already expected to leave the Cherries for a big move somewhere.
Arsenal were among a host of clubs speaking to his agent, and it appears the Gunners have already made an offer for his signature. Huijsen has a release clause in his contract believed to be in the region of £50-55 million, which many of the interested clubs are willing to trigger.
Liverpool are also keen on him as well as teammate Milos Kerkez, as they are willing to invest significantly into signing the defensive duo. The Reds do have a chance to land Huijsen as well as the Hungarian, but at the moment, Chelsea are seen as the front runners among the English sides.
Chelsea are ready to present Huijsen with a long-term contract and have held extensive talks on many fronts to land the Spaniard. However, the Premier League wonderkid does not appear to be in a rush to decide on Real Madrid’s interest. He could still move to Spain despite reports claiming he would prefer to stay in England.
Huijsen has reportedly appointed a law firm and authorised them to negotiate on his behalf with Real Madrid. There’s a clear intention in this move from the defender as he may end up seeking a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid are in the market for a new centre-back and have monitored Huijsen among other players on their list. One of their key targets is William Saliba, although his asking price may have forced Florentino Perez to look elsewhere, as Huijsen seems like a target within their budget as well as fits the style they want.
