Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Aston Villa want to sign Goncalo Ramos

Goncalo Ramos could have a host of suitors approaching in the summer as PSG could weigh in on a sale of the Portuguese striker.

According to Caught Offside, Goncalo Ramos could have a handful of suitors from the Premier League in the summer, as the 23-year-old could be set for a new challenge. Arsenal and Manchester United are among those keen, while there’s reported interest from the likes of Newcastle United and Aston Villa in the striker.

Goncalo Ramos at best has been a squad player for PSG this season, as Luis Enrique has preferred to not play without a recognised striker. Given the Parisians have been challenging on all fronts and are on course to winning the ‘Treble’ this season, the Portuguese striker has proved his worth as an exceptional squad player.

Enrique might love to keep the 23-year-old misfit at the club beyond the summer, PSG could weigh in on offers for the attacker should one of the interested clubs attempt. It’s still unclear how much the Parisians want for Ramos given they had made a significant investment in signing him from Benfica.

Arsenal and Manchester United are among those keen, while there’s reported interest from the likes of Aston Villa and Newcastle United too. The Gunners are chasing Viktor Gyokeres alongside the Red Devils, as both those teams are in the market for a new striker. There will be considerable doubts about whether Mikel Arteta views Ramos as someone to become their leading No.9, but as a rotational striker, he’s probably perfect.

Manchester United may have other ideas, as they are indeed looking for someone better than Rasmus Hojlund at the current moment. They are linked with Jean-Philippe Mateta and Liam Delap as options for the No.9 role, as Ramos might be seen as a decent option in that regard provided his price tag is on the right side of their finances.

Goncalo Ramos to the Premier League?

The interest from Aston Villa and Newcastle United could be strong compared to the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United. Unai Emery’s side for instance have already sold Jhon Duran, while Ollie Watkins’ future is not exactly secured either. They could also lose on-loan star Marcus Rashford, which paves the way for a new striker in the team as Ramos could be the answer and might get a prominent role here.

Newcastle United could offer a similar role of importance, as they could potentially view the 23-year-old misfit as a replacement for Arsenal and Liverpool-linked Alexander Isak. The Magpies are also set to lose Callum Wilson, meaning there’s a clear need for a new striker in the team, as any kove for Ramos might again depend on his asking price set by PSG.
