According to a report from TuttoSport, Manchester United are interested in the services of Dan Ndoye. The Red Devils have been keeping tabs on him for a while and could make a move this summer.
Ndoye made a name for himself at FC Basel before joining Bologna in the summer of 2023 in a deal worth €9 million plus €2 million as bonuses. The debut season didn’t really go according to plan for the Swiss international.
However, he has turned things around under the guidance of Vincenzo Italiano. The 24-year-old right-winger has been a regular feature for them in the final third and he has made the most out of his opportunities.
In his 40 outings across competitions, Ndoye has scored nine goals and has also bagged six assists. His impressive performances on either flank have caught the attention of quite a few top clubs.
Juventus are one of the Italian giants, who want to add him to their squad but they could face significant competition from Manchester United. Ruben Amorim’s team are in the market for new wingers as they are set to permanently part ways with Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Antony.
They have been keeping a close eye on Ndoye for months as he has a profile that Amorim likes. He can feature on either flank and has the pace and the ability to take on defenders. More importantly, he can even feature as a wing-back when needed.
The Red Devils made an attempt to sign him last summer post Euro 2024 but things didn’t go according to plan. They could once again knock on Bologna’s door when the transfer window reopens. But signing him won’t be that easy as the Italian club have a firm stance on his future.
They are reluctant to sell and will only let him leave for a fee of around €40 million. It could represent massive profit on their part. Meanwhile, the player could get the opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in England.
