Al-Hilal ramp up efforts to sign Bernardo Silva

Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal are interested in signing the Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva during the summer transfer window.

According to Foot Mercato, they have now stepped up their interest in the player, and it remains to be seen whether they can get the deal done.

Manchester City signed the player for £43 million from Monaco, and he has been exceptional for them over the years. He has helped him win every major trop a tremendous player with experience and leadership qualities. He would be an excellent addition for Al Hilal if they could get the deal done.

The player could be excited about the possibility of joining the Saudi Pro League at this stage of his career. He has nothing left to prove in European football anymore. It will be interesting to see if he decides to try out a new challenge. It could be a lucrative option for him financially as well.

The Manchester City midfielder is capable of operating on either flank as well as centrally. His ability to slot into multiple attacking roles makes him a tremendous asset for any club. Given his contract situation and age, he is likely to be available for a reasonable amount of money this summer. The Saudi Arabian club will look to pull off a bargain move for him.

Man City must hold on to Silva

Meanwhile, Manchester City have already lost Kevin De Bruyne this summer. The Belgian International has decided to leave the club upon the expiry of his contract. Manchester City are yet to replace him properly, and losing someone like Silva would be a double blow.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester City are prepared to sanction his departure in the coming weeks. Ideally, they should look to hold onto him for another season. They could use his quality and experience as they look to bounce back after a disappointing season.
