With the European Under-21 Championship getting underway in Slovakia, scouts from English clubs are expected to be busy keeping an eye on some of the best-emerging talents in Europe. They will be looking to sign the best young stars to further bolster their respective squads.
Ukraine’s Vladyslav Vanat is expected to be the most fascinating player at the European Championship. He is already on the wishlist of some of the biggest clubs in Europe and his performances in Slovakia could actually earn him a big money move to England. According to a report from TBR, the Dynamo Kyiv sensation is on the radar of Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester United and Newcastle.
Vanat has been a part of the Dynamo setup since 2015. He went up the ranks at some pace and has been a part of their first team since the summer of 2021. He has slowly gone on to establish himself as a key figure in the team and his performances haven’t gone unnoticed.
In the 2024/25 season, the left-footed striker was involved in a total of 45 matches across competitions and he ended up contributing towards 30 goals (21 goals, nine assists). He has been on the wishlist of quite a few English clubs for some time now.
Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester United and Newcastle have scouted the 23-year-old previously and all four clubs are expected to keep a close eye on his performances at the European Championship. His performances could result in them pushing for his signature.
While he still has two years left on his deal at Dynamo, he looks set to take the next step in his career and all English clubs can certainly price him away ahead of next season. The Gunners are looking for a world-class striker this summer.
Bringing in a proven goal scorer will remain a top priority but they could also invest in the 23-year-old with an eye on the future. Villa are also looking to build a long-term project and Vanat could be a great acquisition for their project.
United are making some bold moves in the market and they could look to add Vanat as well depending on the future of some of their current forwards. They certainly want to buy young players with an eye on the future and the Dynamo striker fits the bill.
While the Magpies will certainly give it all to ensure Alexander Isak continues at the club, they could look to Vanat as some who provides cover for the Swedish striker and become a regular starter in the long-run. All four English clubs have scouted him in the past but a lot will depend on his performances in the ongoing European Under-21 Championship.
