According to TEAMtalk, Everton and Tottenham may need to make an important offer to tempt Juventus into selling Timothy Weah. The USMNT winger is high on the list of many clubs looking to bolster their attack, as the Bianconeri are not willing to let him leave unless there’s a premium bid on the table.
Juventus have not named a price point for suitors to consider with regards to Timothy Weah. The USMNT star has a lot of admirers, and his versatility would end up suiting a lot of those teams, especially in the Premier League.
Juventus are not considering a sale of the 25-year-old wide man, although they might see the light if a premium offer comes on their table. It remains to be seen how much they would want to sell the USMNT star, as Premier League sides like Everton and Tottenham are interested.
Everton are in the market for a new attacker, who could feature in multiple positions. Timothy Weah certainly fits that bill, while they are also admirers of West Bromwich Albion star Tom Fellows as well as Ben Doak among others. Signing a player of the Juventus star’s calibre would be the right lift that David Moyes wants in the squad, although paying what the Serie A giants might demand could prove challenging.
Everton are about to enter the season in a brand new stadium and would want some attractive players in the squad. Their primary aim might still lean towards staying afloat and finishing in mid-table, but Moyes would want a push into the top half of the table, for which they would need quality attacking additions, such as Weah.
The arrival of Thomas Frank as Tottenham’s new manager could see the team shift tactically with their playing styles. At times, he would need a wing-back or a winger, depending on the game state, meaning someone like Weah does suit their cause a lot. Spurs are in contention for Bryan Mbeumo, although Manchester United are the favourites for the Cameroonian.
Antoine Semenyo is another one of their top targets, although the costs involved in a deal for the Ghanaian international will prove difficult for Spurs to comprehend. Whether Weah also comes with a similar price point remains to be seen, although he could be a more flexible option in the market that improves multiple positions for Tottenham.
