Real Betis considering Jadon Sancho swoop

Real Betis could angle for a loan deal for another Manchester United star in Jadon Sancho, with the 25-year-old’s future hanging in the balance.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Real Betis are interested in signing Jadon Sancho on loan this summer. They might continue to prefer bringing Antony for another spell, but Manchester United’s other winger being readily available could see the Spanish side turn their head toward the 25-year-old flop.

Manchester United are expected to find themselves in a challenging situation with regards to some of the players they do not need. The Red Devils are bracing for the returns of some of their high earners such as Jadon Sancho, Antony and Marcus Rashford.

Manchester United have prioritised selling the trio, especially Sancho, who will enter the final year of his deal at the club. The 25-year-old flop spent last season on loan at Chelsea, who ended up paying a penalty for not triggering the obligatory clause in his contract to sign the winger permanently.

Napoli are interested in Jadon Sancho, although the 25-year-old flop is not ready to take a pay cut on his exorbitant salary. Hence, the Serie A champions might face plenty of challenges in luring the player, as convincing Manchester United may not prove difficult.

Meanwhile, Real Betis are in the mix for Sancho, despite their heavy interest in Antony. Talks were planned for the latter, although the formula that Real Betis are proposing for the Brazilian may not work with Manchester United. The Spanish side have already identified alternatives for him, which now potentially includes the unwanted Sancho.

Will Real Betis lure in Jadon Sancho

The sudden link with Sancho is rather interesting from Real Betis’s perspective, but do they need a presence on the left-hand side will come across as the important question. Irrespective of that, Sancho can play on the right-hand side, and Betis could view him in a similar vein to Antony.

The fact that Betis are willing to offer only a loan deal will play against their wishes, as Manchester United are keen to offload Jadon Sancho. Hence, there are considerable doubts about whether the Spanish giants can lure the 25-year-old, given he will have plenty of clubs lining up a move, and even if the Red Devils end up agreeing on a temporary deal, the wages will be a massive problem.
