According to a report by Noticias de Navarra, as relayed by Sport Witness, Enzo Boyomo is the subject of interest from Aston Villa. The Villans are eager to reinforce their defensive unit by signing a centre-back in the summer transfer window. So, the 23-year-old CA Osasuna defender has emerged as a target for the West Midlands outfit.
The rising Premier League giants have expressed their interest in the Toulouse-born defender, and they know how much it will take to sign him from La Liga club CA Osasuna in the summer transfer window. Boyomo has a release clause worth €25 million in his contract with Los Rojillos, and suitors must trigger it to secure his services.
Enzo Boyomo has established himself as one of the most dependable defenders in La Liga since joining CA Osasuna from Real Valladolid last summer. A native of Toulouse, the 23-year-old has chosen Cameroon as his national side, and he has turned out twice thus far for the Indomitable Lions.
Meanwhile, Boyomo has made nearly 50 appearances for Osasuna while chipping in with two goals. The Cameroon international defender’s progress has not gone unnoticed, alerting several well-known clubs. Premier League outfits, in particular, are keen on signing him, with Aston Villa among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.
Enzo Boyomo has been on Aston Villa’s radar for a long time. The continued interest makes sense, considering Axel Disasi has returned to Chelsea after his loan spell in the second half of the 2024/25 season. In addition, Tyrone Mings is on the wrong side of 30, with the experienced English defender approaching the twilight of his career.
So, several centre-backs, including Jhon Lucumi, have emerged on Aston Villa’s radar, with Boyomo also a viable target. However, the West Midlands outfit can only sign the French-born centre-back from La Liga club CA Osasuna if they trigger his release clause.
The Cameroonian international has a release clause worth €25 million in his contract with Los Rojillos. It will be interesting to see if Aston Villa will fork out the required €25 million to secure Boyomo’s services in the summer transfer window.
