Galatasaray fail in audacious swoop for PSG’s Fabián Ruiz

Galatasaray have failed in an audacious swoop for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabián Ruiz (29), AS Diario understands. 

Ruiz has asserted himself as a key player at the Parc des Princes. The Spain international was a key component of the PSG side that won six trophies last season, including the UEFA Champions League. He remains a key player for Luis Enrique this time around, too. He has already made 21 appearances in all competitions, netting twice and registering three assists. 

He recently started in Les Parisiens’ dramatic Trophée des Champions win over Olympique de Marseille, as PSG won their first bit of silverware of the current campaign. However, his status in the side did not prevent Turkish giants Galatasaray from making an audacious approach.

AS Diario understands that they made an attempt to loan Ruiz until the end of the season, an attempt rebuffed by the reigning European champions, and logically so, given the Spaniard’s status.
