According to The Boy Hotspur, Richarlison could now be put up on the market and is available for sale after a U-turn from Tottenham on the Brazilian. Spurs were still thinking about the future of the striker, although they are now ready to offload him amid reported interest from Everton and Newcastle United.
Richarlison arrived at Tottenham in the summer of 2022, and in the three seasons since, the fans are yet to see the version that shone at Everton. The Brazilian has had an underwhelming adventure in north London, although there were definitive doubts over what may transpire in his future.
Tottenham were probably thinking hard about the striker’s future, with no definitive decision in sight. Hence, the report states, they are ready to make a U-turn on their stance on Richarlison and are now ready to sell him amid growing interest from elsewhere.
The report also states Spurs want €35 million to sell the striker, which is far less than what they paid to sign him three years ago. The idea is to bring a new forward to replace him as they are open to offers in the summer, as Everton and Newcastle United are named as interested parties.
There were reports Tottenham would consider a loan move if it comes with a buy obligation for the 35 million they seek for the striker. Whether interested clubs are open to the idea is another question, although Everton are seriously considering bringing the striker back to the club.
Everton’s interest is quite obvious given Richarlison already knows the club in and out, which could make the move rather easier. Moreover, the Toffees are embarking on a new journey with a brand new stadium to play in while they also seek a replacement for Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the summer, for which Richarlison would be the perfect addition.
The €35m-rated flop also has the interest of Newcastle United, who are either looking for a big replacement for Alexander Isak or are keen to add to the squad. Either way, Richarlison will have plenty of offers on the table if he was to leave Spurs, and the likely scenario will see him play his football next season elsewhere.
