Manchester United and Tottenham vying for Jake Evans

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are among the teams vying for the signature of Leicester City teenager Jake Evans.

According to Fichajes, Leicester City have some notable teenage names who continue to attract the attention of some of the top clubs in the Premier League. Manchester United and Tottenham are among those keen on 16-year-old prodigy Jake Evans ahead of the summer, with the relegated Foxes keen to keep hold of their talent.

The Premier League has proved its worth as a ruthless league, with clubs ready to launch an offensive on relegated sides for their talents. Top-tier sides are expected to pluck the best out of teams like Ipswich Town, Southampton and Leicester City.

The Foxes for instance are already advertising some of their top homegrown talents following their relegation. Manager Ruud van Nistelrooy recently handed a debut to Liverpool target Jeremy Monga, who incidentally became the second youngest player ever to debut in the top flight in England.

Monga is already chased by Manchester City among others, as he’s one player that Leicester City ar expected to fetch a big fee for. Similarly, there’s another talent who recently debuted in the Premier League, as Van Nisteorooy used teenage striker Jake Evans for games against Brighton and Southampton.

The teenager has already shown plenty to have the attention of some of the top clubs in the top division, as Manchester United and Tottenham are the ones chasing his signature. Both these sides are reportedly willing to pay as much as €15 million for the 16-year-old prodigy, which seems significant enough for a player of that age and the limited experience he has.

Leicester City want to keep Jake Evans

Leicester City are aware of the growing interest in Evans, and they will take a big cheque if the time comes to sell him. Van Nistelrooy feels there’s more to this talent and wants to develop him next season in the Championship with a view of using him extensively in games.

Overall, the Foxes are determined to keep hold of Evans on priority but will be forced to accept a big fee if things do not go their way. Manchester United and Tottenham have recently embarked on a project that has seen those clubs sign a lot of younger talents, meaning Evans could be a big enough addition in that regard.
