According to Football Insider, Crystal Palace could be bracing for multiple offers to arrive for the signature of playmaker Eberechi Eze. Manchester City are among the teams keen, with Pep Guardiola’s side now prepared to make a bid after their FA Cup final against the Eagles.
Eberechi Eze continued his stellar form this season following a double that sank Tottenham Hotspur on their turf. The playmaker will enter the final year of his deal at Selhurst Park, as Crystal Palace are bracing for big offers on their table in the summer.
Crystal Palace could sell Eze for a price lower than his £60 million release clause, given the upcoming window represents their best chance to cash in on the playmaker. Hence, they will not want to take risks with his future and offload the England international especially given he’s unlikely to entertain a new deal at Selhurst Park.
Aston Villa are one of the clubs keen on signing him, as Unai Emery could look for ways to improve his side in the upcoming window. Tottenham are also credited with an interest in the £60 million-rated playmaker, with the north Londoners heavily linked with a move since last summer.
Manchester City are now the latest to enter the race for the £60 million-rated playmaker, as Pep Guardiola is searching for a natural Kevin De Bruyne replacement. Both those players are variably different in their styles, but they could play a similar role in the Catalan manager’s system at the Etihad.
Manchester City are prepared to make a bid for Eberechi Eze, which, as per the report could arrive soon after the FA Cup Final with Crystal Palace. Guardiola reportedly wanted Florian Wirtz on priority to fill the gap left by De Bruyne, although the German star is likely to snub all approaches and join Bayern Munich in the summer.
Hence, Eze would make a lot of sense for their team, as the Palace star adds the attacking threat that De Bruyne is known for. Whether they are successful in luring the player away from Selhurst Park remains the question, considering there will be a lot of other clubs like Aston Villa and particularly Tottenham in the mix.
