According to a report from Mohammed Toubache-Ter, AS Monaco are looking at Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic (25).
The Serbian international had spent the season on loan at Chelsea’s sister club RC Strasbourg Alsace, where he has become one of the key pillars to a team that narrowly missed out on qualifying for European football on the final day of the season.
With the campaign now over, Petrovic will return to his parent club, where it was expected that he would compete for the No. 1 jersey. However, he faces a logjam in this position, Chelsea already have Robert Sánchez and Filip Jörgensen on their books, albeit neither have impressed much in West London.
Strasbourg head coach Liam Rosenior had opened up the possibility of Petrovic remaining in the East of France when he told Alsa’ Sports, “I love working with him and hopefully, somehow, we can still collaborate in the future. Whether it’s here or elsewhere in five years. I’d like it to be next season.”
