Brentford worried about Tottenham approach for Thomas Frank

Brentford are worried about Tottenham coming for their manager Thomas Frank should they sack Ange Postecoglou.

According to Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Brentford worried about the future of Thomas Frank as Tottenham continue to circle. Ange Postecoglou’s future is still under a cloud of doubt despite Spurs winning the Europa League and qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.

Ange Postecoglou fulfilled his objective of taking Tottenham to the Champions League by winning the Europa League final against Manchester United. The Australian’s future was under considerable doubt ahead of the continental showdown as Spurs were unable to improve their league form, that saw them finish the season in 17th place following a defeat to Brighton on the final matchday.

Former goalkeeper Paul Robinson predicted that Postecoglou would be sacked irrespective of Tottenham’s result in the Europa League final although that has not materialised yet. Tottenham have been seriously considering a change of scenery in the managerial hot seat for quite some time, but remains undecided on the Australian’s future.

There is still every chance that Tottenham sack Postecoglou in the coming period and look for a new manager. They were recently linked to Simone Inzaghi as an option while others have been mentioned as possible candidates, including Brentford’s Thomas Frank.

Brentford are worried about Tottenham coming for Frank, as they do not want to lose their manager ahead of the summer. Spurs ponder triggering the Dane’s release clause that would allow them to see the move for Dane in a straightforward way. However, there will be challenges in luring the experienced Premier League boss.

Tottenham set for Thomas Frank’s approach?

The fact that Tottenham are looking for candidates in the market shows they are indeed undecided on the Australian’s future. The idea of appointing Frank as his replacement would be seen as an encouraging move considering the Dane’s immense experience in the Premier League on top of his brilliant work over at Brentford.

Additionally, Tottenham playing in the Champions League next season could give them immense power to lure some of the top managers around including the Dane. As for Brentford, they are worried because replacing Thomas Frank would be a big task as finding a manager of his class and experience would not be straightforward.
