Evann Guessand holding out for Premier League bid

Arsenal, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing 23-year-old OGC Nice attacker Evann Guessand this summer.

According to a report by Give Me Sport, Evan Guessand is a target for several Premier League clubs. Arsenal, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the OGC Nice attacking prospect from the Ligue 1 club in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the Ivory Coast international is holding out for a bid from the Premier League before taking a call on his future.

The recent rise of Evann Guessand

Evann Guessand has established himself as one of the best young prospects in Serie A since breaking into the first-team squad at OGC Nice. A native of Ajaccio, the highly-rated attacker spent his formative years in France, starting his youth career with ASPTT Marseille before graduating from the youth division at OGC Nice.

The 23-year-old made his first-team bow for OGC Nice in January 2020 but has grown in stature in the last two seasons. Guessand was excellent in the 2024/25 campaigns, contributing to 23 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions by finding the back of the net 13 times and providing 10 assists. Meanwhile, he has piqued the attention of several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Tottenham.

A man in demand

The Ivory Coast international has been on Arsenal and Aston Villa’s radar for several weeks. The Gunners are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker in the summer transfer window to reduce the over-dependence on Bukayo Saka. Guessand’s ability to play as a striker makes him an appealing target for Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa’s interest in Evann Guessand is understandable, considering Marcus Rashford will unlikely return to Villa Park in the summer transfer window. As for Newcastle United, Callum Wilson is leaving the Tyneside outfit as a free agent. In addition, Guessand can fill Miguel Almiron’s void after the Paraguayan international rejoined Atlanta United earlier this year.

Tottenham recently contacted Guessand’s representatives to discuss a possible summer move. With Richarlison facing an uncertain future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the North London club must scour the market for a replacement. Meanwhile, the French-born Ivory Coast international is holding out for an offer from the Premier League.

The update has boosted the prospects of Arsenal, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur. With each club offering European football, it will be interesting to see where the 23-year-old versatile attacker lands in the summer transfer window.
