According to The Sun, Mohammed Kudus has changed agents and is now a part of Roof, as the Ghanaian attacker looks for a way out of West Ham United. The versatile forward is not expected to push for a move from the club, but the change of agents is probably the biggest signal that he seeks change.
Regency bias in footballers and their perceived valuations is a common occurrence. In the case of Mohammed Kudus, the versatile attacker was seen as one of the top talents in the Premier League just a year ago, but following a below-par season with West Ham, fans alike, some of the interested clubs are devaluing him to a certain degree.
The latter part is related to his valuation for clarity, as none of the interested clubs are willing to fork out the £85 million written in his West Ham contract. The Hammers are eager to make a big sale, with Kudus probably one of their highly-valued asset at the current moment. Hence, it remains to be seen how far down will the London club accept his sale.
He does have a lot of clubs interested, including Chelsea, who are in talks with the Hammers over a deal. However, there are serious doubts whether the Blues will pay anything closer to the release clause of the attacker, which reads as £85 million for Premier League sides, while Saudi Arabian clubs must pay £125 million.
Newcastle United are also unwilling to fork out the full sum, although the attacker might have a long queue of suitors if West Ham decides to reduce their asking price. Arsenal were also keen earlier, but they too are not prepared to pay beyond a certain range, although the Gunners are still an option alongside Liverpool.
The Arsenal, Liverpool-linked Premier League attacker has now changed agents and is now a part of Roof. This is a big indication that the player would like to leave West Ham, with the new agency tasked to secure a good deal for their client.
Arsenal might still be interested, but they are also looking at other stars like Rodrygo in the market. Liverpool had an interest earlier, but since then, the Merseysiders have brought in Florian Wirtz and unless they view Kudus for their left-wing slot, a move for the Ghanaian to Anfield seems unlikely.
