According to a report from RMC Sport journalist Florent Germain, Luiz Felipe (28) and Marseille are set to part ways after both parties have found common ground over a mutual contract termination. The Brazilian has only featured in four matches since signing for OM in January on a free transfer, but has been praised for his personality and attitude whilst at the club.
This wasn’t enough, however, to convince Marseille’s staff that he was a long-term option at the club – especially with OM targeting Lens centre-back Facundo Medina after signing Burnley and England U21 international CJ Egan Riley.
His contract had been due to run until June 2026, but both parties have opted for a clean break to facilitate the defender’s chances of a summer move.
