According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are weighing in on an exchange deal with Manchester United for winger Jadon Sancho. The Bianconeri are prepared to send striker Dusan Vlahovic the other way, both unwanted stars seemingly valued similarly, although Sancho’s demands could potentially threaten to scupper any deal.
Jadon Sancho might be open to the idea of Juventus, and it appears it’s not the first time the Serie A giants have tried to sign him. The Italians have rekindled their interest in the unwanted Manchester United winger, who is in a complex situation at Old Trafford following an expected return from Chelsea having spent last season on loan there.
Chelsea are not expected to sign him permanently, and instead pay a reported £5 million penalty for going back on their agreement with Manchester United. Sancho has had Juventus and Napoli chasing, but his wages are a big issue.
Juventus have now weighed in on an exchange deal with Manchester United for Sancho, with unwanted striker Dusan Vlahovic going the other way. The Serbian forward looks likely to depart the Serie A giants and could be open to playing in the Premier League, with reports stating he was offered to the Red Devils.
Juventus are ready to sell Vlahovic this summer, with their valuation of the Serbian and that of Manchester United for Sancho more or less the same. Hence, there’s a distinct possibility that those two clubs could agree on a rather rare straight swap, although Sancho’s wages are still an issue coupled with another problem that has come to light.
As per TBR, Sancho is open to leaving Manchester United but does not want to lose out on the potential pay his contract allows him to pocket. While his current deal only lasts until 2026, the winger wants the Red Devils to cover his salary in full irrespective of where he moves.
Hence, there’s a feeling the winger does not want to miss out on a huge payday his contract offers him and is keen to make the best out of the situation. How Manchester United resolves this situation remains to be seen, although those demands could potentially scupper any move to Juventus or any other club at least until next summer when he will be a free agent.
