Newcastle United set to sign Park Seung-soo

Newcastle United are set to sign Park Seung-soo from Suwan Bluebirts in K-League 2, and beat off competition from the likes of Crystal Palace and Bayern Munich.

According to TBR, Newcastle United are set to sign South Korean U-20 international forward Park Seung-Soo from Suwan Bluebirds. The exciting teenager is one of the highly rated prospects in K-League 2, as the Magpies could announce during their tour of the Far East.

Newcastle United have been eerily quiet in the transfer window, with some suggestions pointing at ramping up activity after the PSR deadline of June 30. The Magpies are certainly working in the background on targets but the glamour around other big clubs probably has kept them under the radar, which will work out for the club.

The Magpies might be closing in on a prospective signing of teenager Park Seung-soo from K-League 2 side Suwan Bluebirds. The South Korea U-20 international has been an emerging star in the K-League 2, with the tall forward attracting massive interest from some of the European heavyweights.

As per the report, Crystal Palace were keen on signing the prospective forward for their developmental squad, while Bayern Munich were also in the same boat. Both those sides have an impeccable record when it developing players, and it appears Newcastle United have won the race.

The Magpies have already signed another young talent in Malaga sensation Antonio Cordero ahead of some other notable teams. They have made moves for other youngsters like Vakhtang Salia, Miodrag Pivas and Baran Yildiz, which showcases their ambition to keep building up the younger squads for the future of the club.

Eddie Howe would need a big squad, meaning signings like the 18-year-old Asian wonderkid Park Seung-soo are good for the future, but at the current moment, they need some established stars to help them grow and maintain consistency at the top level.
