Manchester United make decision on Bruno Fernandes future

Manchester United are not eager to entertain any offers coming in for top star Bruno Fernandes amid links with Al-Hilal from the Saudi Pro League.

According to Football Insider, Manchester United are counting on Bruno Fernandes to stay put at the club, as they are uninterested in entertaining any offers for their talisman. Al-Hilal have been courting the Portuguese superstar ahead of the summer, although the player himself is not thinking about a switch to the middle-ease at the current moment.

Manchester United suffered yet another loss in the Premier League, this time at the hands of West Ham United, which saw the hammers climb above them in the table. The Red Devils’ position represents an abject reading, although as a saving grace, they have made it to the Europa League Final where they will face Tottenham.

Bruno Fernandes has been the shining light for Manchester United in their abject season, where the attacking midfielder has 38 goals and assists. Ruben Amorim is already thinking of how to build the team around him, as he looks like a cornerstone for this project under the Portuguese manager and is widely considered one of the untouchable players in the squad.

Manchester United are now uninterested in considering any offers for Fernandes, with the 19-goal star likely to stay put. Al-Hilal have held a big interest in the midfielder, with some reports stating Fernandes has had second thoughts about his future at the club.

Al-Hilal unlikely to sign Bruno Fernandes

Al-Hilal were reportedly prepared to pay a British record fee to lure Fernandes in the summer, as they consider him the alternative to Mohamed Salah. The latter decided to stay at Liverpool meaning the Saudi side needed another marquee name, as some reports stated the Saudi side were scheduled to hold talks with Fernandes.

Fernandes, for his part, is not overly thinking about a switch to the Middle East as of now, as he views such a transfer for the latter part of his career. At the moment, he wants to continue at the highest level, and with Manchester United eager to keep him the chances of his departure to Al-Hilal are remote to none.
