According to Haber Sari Kirmizi, Galatasaray plotted a surprise deal to bring Jadon Sancho to the club in the summer. There’s mixed news regarding the winger’s future either at current side Chelsea or parent club Manchester United, with a decision on the attacker expected imminently.
Galatasaray made a statement signing late last summer following the capture of Victor Osimhen on loan. The Turkish giants are now angling for a permanent move for the Nigerian striker following a stellar season in Istanbul as finances are not considered a big hurdle if they get the green light.
Now, they are also keen on signing unwanted Manchester United misfit Jadon Sancho in the summer as the Turkish giants eye some ambitious moves in the market. The winger is likely to have many offers on his table if he were to leave his current club Chelsea or his parent side Manchester United in the summer.
The winger’s future remains uncertain at Chelsea despite reports stating they had triggered his obligatory purchase clause in the loan deal with Manchester United. However, that may not be the case, as the Blues are still undecided over his signing so far, as they might have to pay a hefty penalty to get out of the deal with the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, Manchester are unwilling to keep Sancho as there are a lot of consequences if he returns to the club. There could be interest from former side Borussia Dortmund might reignite their interest in the winger, as there could be other clubs in the mix.
Sancho has a long career in front of him, and while he has been decent during his time at Chelsea, the London outfit are already looking at options to replace him. Hence, there’s a big chance the Blues will pay the penalty for getting out of the loan obligation and disperse off with the unwanted Manchester United misfit.
As for Galatasaray, they might find it extremely difficult to sign Sancho despite their capacity to offer favourable terms for the winger. The attacker could prefer to stay in one of the top five leagues at best, and more probably within the Premier League.
