Saudi clubs enquire about Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota

Saudi Pro League clubs are reportedly keen on signing Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, and Luis Diaz from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

According to an update by reputed German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, and Luis Diaz face an uncertain future at Liverpool FC heading into the summer transfer window. A move to the Saudi Pro League may be on the cards for the offensive trio, with clubs submitting enquiries to secure their services in the coming months.

Darwin Nunez has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Liverpool from SL Benfica in a big-money move in July 2022. While the Uruguayan international has shown flashes of brilliance in the last three years, his stock has fallen this season. The player has managed only 2,009 minutes of game time across 46 appearances in all competitions while chipping in with seven goals and seven assists.

As for Diogo Jota, the Portuguese international has been a reliable performer since arriving from Wolverhampton Wanderers in September 2020. However, fitness issues have plagued the 28-year-old in the last half a decade, and he has managed less than 2,000 minutes of game time in 36 appearances across all competitions while chipping in with nine goals and four assists.

Meanwhile, Luis Diaz has established himself as a pivotal figure for Liverpool since arriving from FC Porto in January 2022. The Colombian international has contributed to the Merseyside club’s Premier League title triumph, amassing 17 goals and eight assists in 49 appearances across all competitions.

While Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, and Luis Diaz have embarked on vastly different spells with Liverpool, their stints may end in the summer transfer window amid the emerging links with Saudi Pro League clubs. They have also submitted enquiries to sign the offensive trio from Liverpool. However, Diaz is also a target for Barcelona.
