According to a report from Foot Mercato, Panathinaikos FC are very interested in signing AS Saint-Étienne centre-back Dylan Batubinsika (29).
A summer rebuild is beginning in Saint-Étienne as they prepare for life back in Ligue 2 following their season-long stint in the top flight. Reports have suggested that the club are reluctant to let stars like Lucas Stassin and Zuriko Davitashvili leave, but for Batubinsika, the path is perhaps open.
The centre-back had played a key role in Les Verts’ promotion campaign during the 2023/24 season, but struggled with the step up to the top flight as part of a defence that shipped 77 goals as the club were sent straight back down to Ligue 2. Foot Mercato writes that these recent performances for Saint-Étienne have convinced the board to sell him.
Panathinaikos are reportedly in talks with all parties about a transfer, but have not yet reached an agreement with their French counterparts.
