Tottenham could make executive decision on Son Heung-min future

Tottenham Hotspur could sanction the departure of Son Heung-min in the summer transfer window, even if Thomas Frank wants to keep him.

According to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are expected to appoint Thomas Frank as their next manager, and the Danish manager would prefer to keep Son Heung-min at the North London club beyond the summer transfer window. However, the Lilywhites are prepared to go over his head and accept a lucrative offer for the player.

Son is 32, and he is not getting any better at this stage of his career. Tottenham feel that this would be the right time for them to cash in on him if the right offer is presented. The player has been linked with the move to Saudi Arabia recently, and it will be interesting to see how the situation develops. There is no doubt that he is a top-class player, and he has proven himself at Tottenham over the years.

Son would be a very useful option to have

Apart from his qualities as a player, Son Heung-min is also the leader of the Tottenham dressing room. Losing him this summer might not be a good idea. Tottenham are still going through a rebuilding phase, and they will look for European qualification next season. Son could be vital for them on and off the pitch.

There is unlikely to be any shortage of clubs hoping to sign the South Korean international. He has been a world-class performer in the Premier League over the years. There is no doubt that he would be an excellent acquisition for Saudi Arabian clubs.

Tottenham need to keep their best players and bring in quality signings to do well in the 2025/26 season. They finished just above the relegation zone in the Premier League last season. Even though Spurs have won the UEFA Europa League, they need to improve immensely.

Son will help them in the final third with his creativity and goalscoring ability. He is also capable of slotting into multiple attacking roles. There is no doubt that he is a valuable member, and Tottenham should look to keep him at the club for the short term.
