According to a report by Caught Offside, Noni Madueke is the subject of interest from Arsenal. The Gunners are eager to reinforce their offensive unit by signing a wide attacker in the summer transfer window amid the growing over-dependence on Bukayo Saka in the final third. So, the 23-year-old Chelsea wide player has emerged as a target for the North London club.
Arsenal wanted to sign Nico Williams from Athletic Club in the summer transfer window. However, with the Spanish international preferring a move to Barcelona, the Gunners have set their sights on Madueke. They are intensifying their efforts to sign the Englishman, although Newcastle United will also pursue his signature this summer.
Noni Madueke has come leaps and bounds since joining Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023. While the 23-year-old has not been consistent enough in the last two and a half years, he has shown flashes of brilliance, projecting a high ceiling due to his indubitable potential.
The English winger has chipped in with 11 goals and six assists in 2,521 minutes of game time in the 2024/25 season. So, it is hardly surprising that Madueke is a highly-rated winger, with several well-known clubs across Europe vying for his signature. However, Premier League bigwigs, in particular, are keen on signing the youngster, with Arsenal and Newcastle United keen on signing him in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal’s interest in Noni Madueke is understandable. The Gunners are scouring the market for a wide attacker heading into the summer transfer window amid the over-dependence on Bukayo Saka in the final third. With Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard blowing hot and cold in the 2024/25 season, Arsenal must sign an alternative. So, Madueke is a viable target, with the North London giants intensifying their efforts to sign him.
As for Newcastle United, the Tyneside outfit sold Miguel Almiron to Atlanta United earlier this year but did not replace him. So, the Magpies are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit in the summer transfer window by signing a new wide attacker, making Madueke an option worth considering. Meanwhile, Chelsea will demand around €60-65 million to part ways with the 23-year-old Englishman.
While the Blues are keen on recouping around €60-65 million to sell Madueke, they are open to parting ways with him for close to €50 million. However, with AC Milan and Napoli also eager to sign the English winger, it will be interesting to see if Arsenal or Newcastle United can beat the competition to his signature in the summer transfer window.
