Arsenal submit offer to Eberechi Eze, player happy with proposal amid Tottenham links

Arsenal have made their play for Eberechi Eze by presenting an offer to the Crystal Palace playmaker, with the English international keen.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Arsenal are posing as a big threat for Tottenham in the race to sign Eberechi Eze. The Gunners have made an offer to the player, which he is happy with, and Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta could move at pace to secure the Crystal Palace star.

Eberechi Eze was the subject of big talk on social media sites, as Arsenal were linked with a move. The idea of the Gunners landing the FA Cup winner could be seen as a massive coup by the fans, as the England international does bring in the creativity and goalscoring threat they lacked to some degree last season.

The North Londoners are in the market to improve their attack, as a new striker and a wide attacker are certainly part of their big plans. There are links to Rodrygo Goes, who is yet to decide his future amid doubts over his time at Real Madrid since the arrival of Xabi Alonso.

The Gunners may have to wait until after the Club World Cup, which may see any prospective deal for Rodrygo pushed until the latter stages of the window. Such a scenario also poses a risk of sorts if they fail to land the Brazilian, hence they have pivoted to other targets, including Eberechi Eze.

While a left-winger is firmly on their agenda, there have been reports linking Gabriel Martinelli to Bayern Munich. The chase of Eze may not be an easy task given Tottenham boss Thomas Frank wants him at the club. Meanwhile, there are rumours that Spurs are ready to trigger his £68 million release clause, and Crystal Palace want £45 million of the payment up front and the rest in installments.

Arsenal have made Eberechi Eze offer

Whether Arsenal are ready to accept Crystal Palace’s terms on the payment for the £68 million-rated playmaker remains to be seen. However, they have seemingly made their play by making an offer to the England international. The initial understanding as per the report is that Eze is open to the idea and make his mark at the club where he was released as a kid from the academy.

There will be questions like if Eberechi Eze is the alternative to Rodrygo, or whether the £68m-rated Premier League playmaker is a competitor for the No.10 role. Either way, Eze will improve the attacking unit under Mikel Arteta, as Tottenham will be wary of the prospect of losing out on the playmaker.
