Mosquera has come up the ranks at Valencia. He got promoted to their first team in the summer of 2023 and hasn’t looked back since. The 21-year-old has established himself as a key figure in the team, and his performances haven’t gone unnoticed.
He was involved in a total of 41 fixtures last season and was one of their standout performers. With him entering the final year of his deal at his childhood club, his future has become a massive talking point.
Multiple top clubs see this as an opportunity to sign a young world-class defender for a cut-price fee. Arsenal are one of the clubs that are keen on his signature. While the Gunners have a lot of quality options at the back, Arteta is looking to further strengthen their defensive rotation.

However, their bid, which was below €20 million, has been turned down by Valencia. The Spanish club are reluctant to sell and they are looking to hand him a new long-term contract, but are yet to present him with a formal offer.
