So, the 23-year-old Nottingham Forest winger has emerged as a target for the Tyneside outfit.
The Magpies have already failed with their opening bid worth £50 million to sign the Swede from their fellow Premier League club in the summer transfer window. However, Newcastle United will return with an improved offer to secure Elanga’s services.
Anthony Elanga has made considerable progress since joining Nottingham Forest from Manchester United in July 2023. The 23-year-old winger has been a mainstay in the final third for the Tricky Trees, establishing himself as a pivotal figure, having been instrumental in their ascent in the Premier League standings in the last two years.
The Swedish international enjoyed a solid 2024/25 campaign, contributing to 18 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions by finding the back of the net six times and providing 12 assists. Meanwhile, Elanga’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs.
