Arsenal line up €80 million move for Viktor Gyokeres

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are willing to fork out around €80 million to sign Sporting CP attacking mainstay Viktor Gyokeres.

According to a report from Fichajes, Arsenal are ready to go all out to sign Viktor Gyokeres. Mikel Arteta wants a proven goal scorer to take his team’s attack to the next level and they have identified the Sporting CP as their priority target. The Gunners are ready to invest close to €80 million to sign the Swedish international.

Gyokeres has completely transformed his career since joining Sporting in 2023 from Coventry. He had an exceptional debut campaign where he contributed towards 58 goals. The 26-year-old has already surpassed that tally this season with a few games still to go.

He has contributed towards 60 goals (48 goals, 12 assists) so far and his consistent performances have put him on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in Europe. Gyokeres is eager to make the jump to a bigger club, and there is a strong chance he will leave the Portuguese side when the transfer window opens.

Arsenal to go all out for Gyokeres

While multiple top clubs are after his signature, Arsenal have emerged as the front-runner. Mikel Arteta is keen on adding more firepower to his attack. He is determined to sign a world-class striker to help the team make the necessary leap in quality.
