Eberechi Eze prepared to leave Crystal Palace this summer

Eberechi Eze is reportedly ready to part ways with Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window amid his links with Aston Villa, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Eberechi Eze will likely embark on a new adventure away from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window. The 26-year-old playmaker is ready to part ways with the South London club. Aston Villa, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur are among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.

Eberechi Eze and his Crystal Palace stint so far

Eberechi Eze has established himself as one of the best playmakers in the Premier League since joining Crystal Palace from Queens Park Rangers in August 2020. The Englishman has come leaps and bounds in the last half a decade, with his exploits for the South London club helping him establish a foothold in his national squad.

The 26-year-old has turned out over 150 times thus far for Crystal Palace while chipping in with 35 goals and 28 assists. However, Eze is ready to embark on a new adventure away from Selhurst Park in the summer transfer window. The update will be music to the ears of prospective suitors, with Aston Villa, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur keen on signing him in the summer transfer window.

A man in demand

Aston Villa will likely dip into the market for a versatile attacker heading into the summer transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding the long-term futures of Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio. So, Eze has emerged as a viable target for the West Midlands outfit. However, Aston Villa will face an uphill task to beat Manchester City to his signature if they do not secure UEFA Champions League qualification.

Manchester City’s interest in Eberechi Eze is understandable. The Citizens are combing the market for a productive playmaker heading into the summer transfer window as they prepare to lose Kevin De Bruyne as a free agent after the 2024/25 season ends. So, the Crystal Palace star is an option worth considering for Manchester City.

As for Tottenham Hotspur, Ange Postecoglou is keen on adding the English international to his squad in the summer transfer window. While James Maddison has done well for the North London outfit, Postecoglou wants more firepower in his group.

However, with Tottenham’s UEFA Champions League qualification hinging on winning the UEFA Europa League title, they might face a tall order to land the 26-year-old Englishman. So, it will be interesting to see where Eze plies his trade in the 2025/26 season.
