Manchester United rule out Dominic Calvert-Lewin move

Intermediaries have reportedly offered 28-year-old English striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin to Manchester United, but the Red Devils have ruled out a summer move.

According to a report by Give Me Sport, Manchester United will have the chance to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin in a Bosman move in the summer transfer window. The 28-year-old striker has become a free agent after leaving Everton. Since then, intermediaries have offered the player to Manchester United.

However, the struggling Premier League heavyweights have ruled out a summer move for the Englishman due to a “major red flag”. Calvert-Lewin’s injury record has spooked Manchester United, with a Bosman move to Old Trafford not on the cards for the former Everton striker.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin was once among the best strikers in the Premier League before recurring fitness issues blighted his progress and reduced him to a shell of the productive striker he was a few years ago. The 28-year-old spent nearly a decade with Everton but was in and out of the starting lineup in the last few seasons.

The 11-cap English international turned out over 250 times for Everton while chipping in with 71 goals and 22 assists. However, Calvert-Lewin has become a free agent after his contract with the Merseyside outfit expired a few days ago. However, the player’s stock in the market is high, with recent reports linking him with Manchester United.

Recent reports have suggested that Manchester United made a move to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin in a Bosman deal in the summer transfer window.
