Tottenham intensify efforts to sign Antoine Semenyo

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing 25-year-old Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth this summer.

According to a report by Sky Sports, Antoine Semenyo is the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur. The Lilywhites are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a productive wide attacker in the summer transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding Richarlison’s long-term future. So, the Bournemouth winger has emerged as a target for the North London outfit.

Meanwhile, the London-born winger is also a target for Manchester United and Liverpool, with the duo scouring the market for a productive winger. However, the two Premier League giants may have fallen behind Tottenham in the chase, with the North London club intensifying the efforts to sign Semenyo from Bournemouth in the summer transfer window.

Antoine Semenyo has come leaps and bounds since joining Bournemouth from Bristol City in January 2023. The 25-year-old has been a regular in the final third for the Premier League club in the last two years, and he amassed 13 goals and seven assists in 42 appearances across all competitions in the 2024/25 season. Meanwhile, the player’s progress has alerted top clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur.

A man in demand

The Ghanaian international has been on Liverpool’s radar for a long time. The continued interest is understandable, considering Luis Diaz has many suitors. In addition, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nune are on the chopping block at Anfield. So, Semenyo is a viable target for Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s interest in Antoine Semenyo makes sense. However, the Red Devils have taken a back seat in the chase amid their negotiations to sign Bryan Mbeumo from fellow Premier League club Brentford. Nevertheless, Semenyo is an attractive target for Manchester United, as he can play across the frontline.

As for Tottenham Hotspur, Timo Werner has returned to RB Leipzig after his loan spell. In addition, Richarlison faces an uncertain future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. So, the Lilywhites need a new wide attacker in the summer transfer window, with Semenyo a viable target. They have now ramped up their efforts to sign the London-born winger this summer.

With Tottenham intensifying the efforts to land the 25-year-old Ghanaian international, Liverpool and Manchester United may fall behind in the chase. So, it will be interesting to see where Semenyo plies his trade in the 2024/25 season.
